Description

In 1997, Whistler's drawings made it from the drawing board to the construction site and by late 1998 she was launched. This boat was the first boat that Norman Wright's built using fibreglass technology to its fullest. The hull was a composite construction, consisting of carbon, kevlar and E-glass cloths with foam cores. Furniture throughout the boat was built with honeycomb feather-lite panels and in combination with the fibreglass structure, resulted in a vessel both lightweight and extremely strong and durable.

The owner's interior designer worked with a team of four (4) from the design office and together to produced a boat that turns heads wherever she goes. Whistler can accommodate eight (8) guests and three (3) crew on board. Each guest cabin has an adjoining ensuite, with the master stateroom having a separate his and hers ensuite. Every cabin is finished in cherry wood and each ensuite is complemented with granite or marble bench tops.
engine part The quality of finish throughout Whistler is extended to the engine room and generator flat. Minimising noise from these areas was paramount and sound insulation is used throughout both spaces. A separate generator room down aft means that any noise outside their sound shields is kept to a minimum and well away from guests.
This to ensure that everyone on board are comfortable and enjoying themselves.
On the main deck there is a very spacious and open entertainment area in the lounge/saloon with formal dining separated by two (2) finger bars. Entertaining guests on board can be set in a formal aspect or the more casual atmosphere of the aft deck. The galley is equipped with high quality products such as Miele, Gaggenau and Rennai and complemented by the stainless steel finish. The crew can retreat to their cabins down forward via a staircase just forward of the galley.

Adjacent to the dining area, the staircase gives guests an exquisite transition to the bridge deck, with its polished stainless steel frame and its embedded timber treads, a real work-of-art.

The wrap-around console in the bridge provides the captain with full access and vision to the state-of-the-art electronics. For ease of docking, concealed wing stations were built into the bulwarks with an additional control station in the aft cockpit combined with a wonder-lead handset. Between the skipper's cabin and the console are the observer lounges with built in bar fridges to provide guests with cold refreshments.
Outside and aft on the bridge deck the tender and jet skis are stowed and launched by the single davit on the portside. Guests can enjoy a spa on the foredeck or just sun bake on the sunpad covers.
